The NI PXIE-8840QC controller module runs with Ni-DAQMX driver software compatible with packages such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI or Measurement Studio. In order to ensure stable activity, the inserted LabVIEW real-time application continues to run regardless of whether the host is interrupted or restarted. Since the PXIe-8840 RT uses a dedicated power supply to keep it running in different cases, users can completely shut down the mainframe without interfering with continuous programs.

The NI PXIE-8840QC controller module allows users to use extended temperature and day-to-day activity for applications that require continuous task execution 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, although the hard disk is evaluated for day-to-day tasks. The standard form of hard disk is the National Instruments PXIe-8840 controller, five days a week, eight hours a day. In addition, every minute of the day a task application can put the hard disk in a high load cycle (the maximum throughput level supported by the hard disk). The capacity of the hard drive is limited to 80 GB at wider temperatures and for reproducing tasks per minute per day.
