TRICONEX-3401 Digital Output module Each TMR digital output module has three isolated sets of electronics, called channels, which independently accept data from MP associated with each channel. These channels use a patented four-voter circuit that votes on a single output signal when applied to a load. This voter circuit is based on A parallel path that passes through if two of the three switches (channels A and B, or B and C, or A and C) command them to close. The Quad Voter circuit has multiple redundances on all critical signal paths, guaranteeing security and maximum availability. For each point, the DO module periodically performs an Output voter Diagnostics (OVD) routine.

For unrestricted safe operation in a variety of multi-failure scenarios, OVD detects the following types of failures and issues alerts: • Points - All jams and snags are detected in less than 500 milliseconds. • Switches - Detect all jammed or stuck switches or their associated drive circuits. The dissolved oxygen module includes complete, continuous diagnostics for each channel. If the TRICONEX-3401 diagnostics detects a fault on any channel, the fault indicator lights up and activates a system alert. The fault indicator identifies the channel failure, not the entire module failure. The DO module is guaranteed to function in the event of a single failure, and can continue to function in some cases of multiple failures. The DO module supports hot standby modules. The TRICONEX-3401 uses mechanical keying for each DO module to prevent improper installation in the configured baseboard.
