Triconex 3008 Processor Module Components The Type 3008 Main processor (MP) is available for Tricon v9.6 and later systems. The Tricon Communication Module (TCM) is only compatible with Tricon v10.0 and later systems, allowing Tricon to communicate over Ethernet with TriStation 1131, other Tricon or Trident controllers, Modbus master and slave devices, and external hosts.

TRICONEX-3008 Three MP must be installed in the main box of each Tricon system. Each MP independently communicates with its IO subsystem and executes user-written control programs. Sequence of Events (SOE) and Time synchronization During each scan, the MP checks for state changes in a specified discrete variable, called an event. When an event occurs, MP saves the current variable state and timestamp in a buffer of the SOE block.
