在冗余热备控制系统中,整个PLC控制系统(或系统最重要部分如控制器)由2套配置完全相同的PLC主机、电源、冗余处理模块组成。2个控制器模块使用相同的用户程序并行工作,其中一块是主控制器,另一块是备用控制器,后者的输出是禁止的。当主控制器出现故障时,系统立刻投入备用控制器,这一切换过程是由冗余热备控制处理单元(Redundancy Process Unit,RPU)控制的,V/O系统的切换也是由RPU实现的。

In the redundant hot backup control system, the whole PLC control system (or the most important part of the system such as the controller) is composed of two sets of PLC hosts, power supplies, and redundant processing modules with identical configurations. Two controller modules work in parallel using the same user program, one being the primary controller and the other the secondary controller, the output of which is prohibited. When the primary controller fails, the system immediately switches to the standby controller, which is controlled by the Redundancy Process Unit (RPU), and the V/O system is also switched by the RPU.
