The MVI69E-GSC Universal ASCIl Serial Interface module is a quick and easy way to add two fully configurable ASCI communication ports to the CompactLogix/MicroLogixTMTM platform without consuming the processor's front port or taking up valuable processing time.

The MVI69E-GSC module is a single-slot backplane compatible solution for the CompactLogix/MicroLogix platform. The module has two powerful and fully configurable ASCII communication ports, each of which supports sending and receiving large ASCII strings.

Many different devices that support ASCII communication can be integrated into the compactLogix/MicroLogix platform by implementing them in processors that support ladder logic.

Features and advantages

· Single slot - Compatible with 1769 backplane

The module is recognized as an input/output module and has access to processor memory to transfer data between the processor and the module. Ladder logic is used for data transfer between module memory and processor controller labels. Includes sample ladder diagram file with AOI · Configuration data obtained from the configuration text file downloaded to the module. CompactLogix and MicroLogix 1500 LRP controllers are supported, with the exception of 1769-QBFC1B, 1769-L16x, and 1769-L18x
