控制器由程序计数器、指令寄存器、指令译码器、时序产生器和操作控制器组成，是发布命令的“决策机构”，即完成协调和指挥整个计算机系统的操作。

RDC2控制器的基本功能是从主存中取出一条指令，并指出下一条指令在主存中的位置；对指令进行译码或测试，产生相应的操作控制信号，以便启动规定的动作；指挥并控制CPU、主存、输入和输出设备之间的数据流动方向。

RDC2控制器的工作原理是根据指令的要求，当前的时序及外部和内部的状态，按时间的顺序发送一系列微操作控制信号。

根据控制器产生微操作控制信号的方式不同，控制器可分为硬布线控制器和微程序控制器。

Decode or test instructions to generate corresponding operational control signals in order to initiate specified actions; Direct and control the direction of data flow between CPU, main memory, input and output devices.

The working principle of the RDC2 controller is to send a series of microoperation control signals in the order of time according to the requirements of the instruction, the current timing and the external and internal state.
