Shaft interfaces and splitter boards provide interface circuits and splitter connectors for two - or four-channel digital servo interfaces. This accessory is used to control a digital amplifier with a direct PWM digital signal. Alternatively, if both the digital PWM and the stepper motor are controlled by it, any single channel of the attachment can be set up to provide pulse and direction signals (PFM). Each shaft is supplied with a MINI-D36-pin amplifier connector. Each shaft has a detachable encoder terminal and a detachable marker terminal.

You may have option 1A for two additional analog servo interface channels, or option 1D for two additional digital servo interface channels. This means that the attachment can be fitted with a half digital interface and a half analog interface. This accessory is connected to the CPU board through the backplane expansion port
