This powerful single-slot VMEbus processor integrates a 233mhz MMX Pentium processor PCI-to-VMEbus interface and allows users to take advantage of the powerful multiprocessing capabilities of VMEbus while leveraging standard off-the-shelf PC software and operating systems.

At the heart of the XVME-5312 module is an Intel 233MHz MMX CPU combined with 512K syn synchronous level 2 pipeline cache and up to 256 MB of fast page or EDO DRAM. The module contains a wide range of I/O including PCI graphics, EIDE and Ethernet controllers, a universal Serial bus (USB) interface, two high-speed one EPP/ECP parallel ports and PS/2 style keyboard and mouse ports. Further I/O extensions  are available with Xycom's automated modular I/O Carrier module (XVME-976), which provides a mechanism to extend your system using PMC, PC/104, short ISA or PCI modules.
