Description

The 3500/93 system display is designed to meet the requirements of API Standard 670 and provides a local or remote visual indication of all 3500/93 machine protection system information, including:

3500/93 135785-01 System display is configured using 3500 rack configuration software. The display can be installed in four ways:

3500/93 135785-01 Face Mount - Display mount directly on the front panel of any full-size 3500 rack using special hinge supports, which allow access to the rack's buffered output connectors and user interface buttons and switches without disconnecting or disabling the display.

Note: For this mounting option only, the Display Interface Module (DlM) must be installed in slot 15 of the rack (far right slot). The FaceMounting option is not compatible with 3500 Mini-rack.

19-inch ElA Rack Mount - The display is mounted on a 19-inch ElA rail up to 100 feet from the 3500 system. (Up to 4,000 feet from 3500 systems when using external power).

Panel Mount - Displays are mounted in panel openings located in the same cabinet or 100 feet from the 3500 system. (Up to 4,000 feet from 3500 systems when using external power).

The individual mounting display is mounted on a wall or panel and located 100 feet away from the 3500 system. Up to 4000 feet from 3500 system when using external power 1.

Each 3500 rack can be connected to up to two monitors, and each monitor requires an empty 3500 rack slot to plug in the corresponding DlM. When the display is not installed, the cable connection between the DlM and the display can be connected from the front of the 3500 rack or from the l/0 module at the rear of the rack.

Applications requiring more than 100 feet of cable must use an external power supply and cable adapter. Applications that use backlit display units must use an external power supply. There are two external power supplies. One is connected to 115 volts and the other to 230 volts.

External power supply/terminal block installation kit simplifies the installation of external power supplies. The external power/terminal strip mounting kit is designed to install a separate mounting housing. The kit simplifies the installation of external power supplies in separate mounting enclosures or user-supplied enclosures.
