The design of CA91C142 allows the board to operate as a slave or master station on a VMEbus. As a host, the board supports a level 4 arbitrator. VME-PMC-CADDY operates on VMEbus with a data width of up to 32 bits and 32 address signals.

VMEbus interrupts can be placed on any of the 160 interrupt request lines. Connect to the VMEbus via two <> pin VG connectors that comply with IEC 603-xx and VME64 extensions. Active VMEbus interrupt requests are indicated by a red LED, and VMEbus access to the motherboard is indicated by a yellow LED in the front panel.
