The module has a single wide VME bus connection port, a main repeater module for the device's long line repeater, and a set of DIN type input and output connectors. The VMIVME-M-485 module is designed as one of two units in the VMIC Long Line Repeater Link subfamily. These models consist of two boards: one is a VMIVME board and the other is a data conversion board.

VMIVME-REPEAT-S-485 features:

In the case of a 5-foot cable connection, the propagation delay is about 400 nanoseconds. For longer cables connected, an additional 4 nanoseconds per foot is added.
