HE693RTD660 is a thermocouple module produced by General Electric Company in the United States, its working voltage is 24V, with strong adaptability, quality certification and product certification.


The HE693RTD660 allows the RTD temperature sensor to be connected directly to the PLC without the need for external signal processing such as sensors, transmitters, etc. All analog and digital processing of the RTD signal is performed on the module. These backplane isolation (or bus isolation) modules have programmable resolution in increments oF 0.05oC, 0.05oF, 0.1oC, 0.1oF, 0.5oC, 0.5oF. The module has 6 channels whose temperature values are reported to the 6% AI input register. Each channel has 6 %I alarm bits and a set point alarm. Configure alarm setpoints for each channel using 6 %AQ registers. All modules support the following RTD types: PT-100 (platinum, 100W at 0°C), Ni-120 (nickel, 120W at 0°C), Cu-10 (copper, 10W at 25°C), Pt-1000 (platinum, 1000W at 0°C), and TD5R Silicon (microswitch).

The working principle of the GE HE693RTD660 thermocouple is the thermoelectric effect, as follows:


Two different conductor materials are welded together to form a closed loop. When there is A temperature difference between the two contact points 1 and 2 of the conductor material A and B, an electromotive force is generated between the two, thus forming a current of a magnitude in the loop. Thermocouples work by exploiting this effect.
