The IC695PSA140 power module is a DC power module belonging to GE Fanuc RX3i PACSystems series. This is a multipurpose power supply with an output power of 40 watts. The recommended voltage range is 85 to 264 volts AC or 100 to 300 volts DC. The IC695PSA140 power module occupies two slots for green panels. It has 4 leds to indicate power, P/S failure overheating and overload conditions. There is an on/off switch behind the front door of the power supply to control the operation of the output. The module has terminals for power, ground and MOV connections. Each terminal of the module can accept a wire of 14 to 22AWG specification.

Load Sharing

When RX3i Multipurpose DC Power Supplies are combined into load-sharing applications following the installation  guidelines given in thisdatasheet,  they must be wired to the same power source in such away that they all can be powered up or powered down simultaneously.   The On/Off front panel switch on each of the power supplies must beleft in the On position.

Caution

ln a load-sharing application,  it is important to ensure that theload-sharing power supply modules'On/Off switches cannot beinadventently used.  The  minimum number of power suppliesneeded to meet the system power requirements MuST have theirswitches always kept in the  On position.   Also,  the load-sharingpower supplies must be connected to the system power sourcethrough the same external switch.   The  system must be poweredup and powered down only from the external switch.   lf individualpower supplies are powered up or  powered down using theirOn/Off switches or separate external switches, resulting in

insufficient power capacity,  equipment damage may result.   lt maybe necessary to re-load the PLC operating system to resumeoperation.
