Ge developed the DS20OLDCCH1AGA card for use as a driver control and local area network (LAN) communication board. The card is installed in the Mark V Series replacement driver board and is compatible with GE brand DIRECTO-MATiC 2 drives and exciters. When installed in a drive, the board provides the drive with a range of drive and I/ UT control functions.

DS20OLDCCH1AGA communication card has four microprocessors inside. The LAN Control Processor (LCP) can be used to accept feeds to the drive in five different bus types. The driver control processor (DCP) can also be used to handle analog and digital space V/O conversions. DCP can also control and convert peripheral V/0 devices, such as encoders and timers. The motor control processor (MCP) is used to process the data space V/O sent to the drive.
