General Electric has developed the DS200SLCCG4REG board as a LAN (Local Area Network) communication board. It was developed as an alternative board to the Mark V series. As a common component of many drives, this card can be installed in multiple drives of the GE series. When installed in a cabinet, the card provides the necessary components to process and filter incoming LAN communication signals.

The integrated LAN control processor (LCP) is a characteristic component of the driver. This is the main filtering tool on the DS200SLCCG4REG card. The LCP program is stored in two removable EPROM storage boxes connected to the card. The unit also includes a dual port RAM. This memory space provides the interface medium for the drive control board for LCP. The circuit on the board has two forms: isolated and non isolated.
