DS200SNPAH1ABA is an SNP protocol interface sub board. This is a 90 Series Protocol (SNP) board. The SNP protocol was the first native serial communication protocol used by all 90 series programmable logic controllers. This is the exclusive master-slave protocol of GE FANUC. In many cases, this has been replaced by the SNP-X optimization protocol, Genius protocol, or other later GE communication protocols. However, this primitive communication protocol allows any 90 series PLC to communicate with another 90 series system through a serial line. SNP is half duplex. It can use RS-232 or RS-485. Communication protocols can be deployed as multi-point networks or peer-to-peer systems.

The DS200SNPAH1ABA sub board is a long and narrow rectangle with an additional front panel. The panel includes two connecting screws and two ports, including a male and a female head. The components are installed at the top and bottom of the circuit board surface. The bottom surface includes two additional connectors for inserting into the motherboard, as well as factory drilled installation holes. There are also many resistors and capacitors on this side of the circuit board. The top of the circuit board is equipped with an integrated circuit, including an FPGA, jumper switch, and resistor.
