The IS420UCSBH1A is a controller for the General Electric Mark Vle system. The MKVle is one of the most advanced Speedtronic systems designed by GE for controlling hydraulic, gas and steam turbine systems. IS420UCSBH1A is one of the five UCSB modules available. The IS420UCSBH1A is a single-module controller that uses its onboard IO network to connect to IVO packets. Older controllers in previous Speedtronic systems implemented the same type of interface via backplane connectors. This machine adopts air cooling type. It has no onboard fan or battery, but comes with a built-in power supply.

The front of the IS420UCSBH1A has three Ethernet ports designed to connect to R/S/TI/O networks, and three additional ENET ports for HNMI, other controllers, Historians, and peer-to-peer connections.
