The IC693APU301 is an axis positioning module (APM) in the Series 90-30 Programmable Logic controller (PLC) family, formerly manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation and now owned by Emerson Automation. The module comes with single-axis control for motion and position control of the servo motor and can be configured in standard and follower modes.

When the IC693APU301 is configured in standard mode, the APM module combines PLC logic with the high-performance motion control of the IC693APU301 to create a single integrated system. It also supports follower mode, where the APU provides high-performance electronic drives for continuous master-slave applications.

The module comes with a (1) 9-pin D-shell axle port connector and a (1) high-density port APM connection. There are also EN1, EN2, STST, OK, CFG and other LED status indicators. The module is compatible with various cpus such as CPU 311, CPU 313, and CPU 323, and can install up to three APM modules. When using CPU 331 and later, up to 8 APM modules can be installed, and up to 3 APM module instances can be installed per backboard.

Motion programs can be developed using the Motion Programmer package and configured using the VersaPro package 1.1 or later or a Logic-Developer PLC.
