Mark V is one of the last Speedtronic systems released by GE, although it is only the second system in the series to provide a triple modular redundant architecture. The MKV also features available online maintenance, direct sensor interfaces, and built-in diagnostics to identify panel level faults.

The DS200ACLEH1 is used as a hub LAN driver card. This is an application control layer board that is sometimes used with the added PC/104 ISBus expansion board to create a control layer module that can perform multiple tasks through an MKV communication network. The DS200ACLEH1 can communicate with various parts of the MKV system, including a control system toolkit (via TCP/IP) and CIMPLICITY graphics software (via Ethernet).
