The 269PLUS-DO-211-100N-120VAC is a motor protection system for the 269 Plus motor management relay family, manufactured by GE Multilin. This microprocessor-based protection system is designed for use with three-phase motors as they operate near their hardware limits. The protection system monitors and controls the state of the attached motor under acceleration and running/steady state conditions. This relay is an extended version of the protection system. It has phase and ground current transformers (CTs) of 2:5 and 2:5, respectively. The system also has a 100 ohm nickel resistance thermal detector (RTD). The control voltage of this model is 120vac.

This motor protection system provides critical thermal protection during operation. The system does this by using RTD monitoring. The system is then able to perform thermal modeling based on the associated heat capacity. The protection system uses exponential cooling to match the cooling rate of the actual motor. Due to the sharp initial cooling of the system, the relay can obtain higher load cycles. The key inputs of the protection system are speed switch input, differential relay input and spare input. The speed switch input allows the use of an external speed device. The differential relay input enables the operator to close the contacts of the external differential relay. Alternate inputs that can be configured as standard or custom contact inputs to allow identification of circuit breaker status.
