The IS200BICLH1ACB is commonly referred to in GE manuals as the BICL IGBT driver Source Bridge interface board. The board is connected to the VME type rack of the GE Innovation series through two connectors, P1 and P2. The main function of the IS200BICLH1ACB is to allow communication between the innovative series driver master card and the mounted bridge personality interface board. These latter boards include IS200BPIA, IS200BPIB, and IS200SCNV, and will be installed in the same application as the IS200BICLH1ACB BICL card.

The BICL board includes a serial 1024-bit storage device. The memory is programmed from the factory with the board ID and revision information. The "CB" revisions after IS200BICLH1A are functional revisions and draft revisions respectively. However, both are backward-compatible and differ in this respect from the "A" version, which is not backward-compatible.

Physical characteristics: The IS200BICLH1ACB has a front panel, but no ports to use from the front of the module. The panel includes a board identifier for the BICL number and a circular GE identifier. The bottom third of the board is marked "Install in slot 5 only." It is important to note that this board can be damaged when installed into the wrong slot.

The IS200BICLH1ACB includes four relays and four resistance heat detector sensor inputs, or RTDS. The temperature of the RTD can be accessed through single and dual mode. All information on using BICL can be found in GE publication GEI-100264, under the Manuals TAB.
