Product Description
Manufactured by General Electric to be used in the Mark VI series, the IS200BICIH1AEC board is a Bridge Interface Controller, which is what the BICI acronym comes from. The primary purpose of the board is to control bridges using an associated Integrated Gate Commutated Thyristor (IGCT) switching device. The board will mount with the Mark VI system and interface with a Control Assembly Backplane Board (CABP) through the P1 and P2 backplane connectors. The power needed to properly operate the BICI board will be provided by the rack power supply board and will come through the attached CABP.
Located on the front panel of the IS200BICIH1AEC board are three connectors labeled PSRC, PFBK2, and PFBK1; all of the connectors have their own function. The function of the PSRC connector is to connect feedback signals from the expander diode source board and will produce gate control signals for the DB IGCT switches, which will then be brought back to the BICI board from the PSRC connector.
