The IS420ESWAH3A model is an Industrial Ethernet or IONet switch manufactured by General Electric for real-time industrial control solutions. When used in these applications, ESWA switches need features to help increase speed and functionality, some of which are as follows; 802.3, 802.3U and 802.3x compatibility, automatic transmission of HP-MDIX, leds indicating power supply, and many other features.

An IS420ESWAH3A switch has eight ports on the front. The eight ports are 10/100Base-TX copper RJ45 ports. Typically, ESWA switches have fiber ports, which is the main distinguishing feature of switches that differ from each other, and this switch is the only one that does not have any fiber ports. All ESWA switches are similar except that they do not have any fiber ports.

IS420ESWAH3A switch is based on packet buffering capability. The packets that ESWA will buffer are typically a continuous stream of multicast or broadcast packets.
