The 469-P5-HI-A20-E is a motor protection relay in the General Electric Multilin 469 series, capable of monitoring, controlling and protecting medium and large motors.

All units of the 469 series (unlike the 369 series) are equipped with metering features that allow users to track system variables such as voltage, demand, and frequency. This data can be displayed on the enhanced 40-character LCD or viewed in the EnerVista 469 software program. Both the RS232 port and the RS485 port establish a connection between the relay and the computer running the EnerVista software program.

Motor protection features include torque protection, overtemperature protection, stator differential protection, undervoltage and overvoltage protection. When the relay detects a negative state within the relay, the relay is able to intervene, quickly assess the severity and trip the system, or apply another solution if necessary (quick motor restart, etc.).
