Function description:

The IS220PPROS1B is an emergency turbine protection I/O package manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VIe family used in GE distributed control systems. The Emergency Turbine Protection I/O package (PPRO) and associated end boards provide a backup overspeed protection system to back up check generator synchronization with the common bus. They also act as independent watchdog for primary control.
