The IC697BEM711N module is a bus receiving module. Features of the IC697BEM711N module include a high-speed parallel bus expansion interface, support for seven expansion racks, system fault isolation, simple software configuration, and support for maintaining the last state of the machine. Three LED indicators on the module provide the status of the module as well as the status of the bus expansion port and expansion status. By using the IC697BEM711N module, a total of 15 meters of cable can be extended to up to seven additional IC697 PLC racks. The IC697BEM711N module occupies a slot in the PLC chassis. Two connectors are provided on the front panel of the module: one connector for connecting upstream or CPU racks, and the other connector for connecting to other expansion racks via a Daisy chain arrangement.
