GE Fanuc Series 90-30 IC693CHS398 Expansion Baseboard The total number of expansion baseboards that can be connected at one time depends on the type of CPU. CPU 331, 340, and 341 cpus can support up to four expansion boards at a time, and cpus with numbers of 350 or higher can support up to seven expansion boards at a time. For security reasons, the IC693CHS398 expansion baseboard and all other expansion baseboards in the system must be equipped with a common ground. The IC693CHS398 expansion baseboard has five slots for mounting the I/O module and is connected to the other baseboards by a 25-pin D-female I/O expansion connector on its rightmost edge.
