Microprocessor - The VMIVME7750-734 brings the IntelPentium stream processor to the VME bus with processor speeds up to 1.26GHz. The Pentium I processor has 32-bit addressing and a 64-bit data bus. Its superscalar structure allows three instructions to be executed per clock cycle. Dynamic branch prediction units, independent instruction and data caches, and MMXTM technology also improve processor performance. The Pentium I processor also offers 256 kilobytes (1.26 GHZ with 512 kilobytes) of advanced transfer cache (in mode, full speed secondary cache) using dual independent bus architecture, high bandwidth and performance. This L2 cache is at the same clock rate as the processor, which improves performance

DRAM Memory - The VMIVME7750-734 accepts a 144-pin SDRAM SODIMM with a maximum memory capacity of 512 megabytes. Onboard DRAM dual port to VMEbus.

Super VGA Controller - High resolution graphics and multimedia quality video supported on the VMIVME-7750's built-in 815E chipset AGP graphics adapter. The adapter is complemented by a 4-megabyte external synchronous DRAM cache with a high-bandwidth 64-bit data interface. The graphics adapter supports screen resolutions of up to 1,600x1,200x256 colors (single view mode).


Flash Memory -VMIVME7750-734 provides up to 1GB of IDecompact Flash memory access via a secondary IDE port. The VMIVME-7750BIOS includes the option to allow the board to boot from flash memory.

Timer - The VMIVME-7750 provides users with two 16-bit timers and two 32-bit timers (in addition to the system timer). These timers map in the I/0 space and are completely software programmable.

Watchdog Timer VMIVME-7750 provides a software programmable watchdog timer. The watchdog timer is enabled under software control. Once the watchdog timer is enabled, the onboard software must access the timer within the specified timer period, otherwise a timeout will occur. User jumpers allow timeouts to cause resets independent of the jumpers, and software can cause watchdog timeouts to cause an unmasked interrupt (NMI) or VME bus SYSFAIL.

Non-volatile SRAM- The VMIVME-7750 offers 32KB of non-volatile SRAM. When the +5 V power supply is interrupted or removed from the unit, the contents of the SRAM are retained.

PMC Extension Site - The VMIVME-7750 supports the IEEEP1386 Universal Sandwich card specification and the 5VPCI Sandwich Card extension site. The PMC site offers standard 1/0 outside the VMEbus front panel. An optional 1/0 connection to the VMEbus P2 connection can be provided.
