Description: The VMIVME-4140 analog output board provides 32 high-quality analog output channels with 12-bit resolution and can input or receive 10ma at = 10v. Each output has a dedicated DlA converter (DAC) assigned to it. The VMIVME-4140 analog output can be disconnected from field wiring for offline testing. Calibration and self-test are performed by the aVMEbus system reset or by executing software startup commands. During calibration, a table of offset and gain coefficients is compiled and stored in RAM. Of the 32 channels configured in six output voltage ranges, there is an entry corresponding to offset and gain.

Self-check The system automatically self-checks after resetting. The self-test register indicates success or failure and can indicate the failed channel.

Front panel status LED: Steady on after the system is reset. Light off

Complete self-test and automatic calibration. Leds can also be turned on and off under software control.
