The WATLOWANAFZE PPC-TB50 has two separate serial ports and an IntelCeleron-M microprocessor. Its 64MB non-volatile flash memory complements the 64MB battery-supported random access memory (RAM). Local and remote extension racks are also supported. The CPU's serial backplane is designed to be compatible with expansion modules in the 90-30 series /0 product line (but not with mainframe racks).

Use ProficyMachineEdition, a common development environment for all GEFanuc controllers. Proficy Machine Edition is designed to create, run, and diagnose operator interfaces, motion, and control applications. Eight LED indicators on the space-saving CPU chassis help troubleshoot. Each LED is associated with a separate function, with the exception of the two leds labeled COM1 and COM2, which belong to different ports rather than different functions. The other leds are CPUOK, Run, Outputs Enabled, I/0 ForceBattery, and Syslt- short for "system failure." I/0ForceLED indicates whether Override is active on the active reference. Other LED labels are self-explanatory. The case is designed with all leds and two serial ports facing forward for easy access and viewing.

The normal power supply of the WATLOWANAFZE PPC-TB50 PLC system is powered by the grid. Due to the wide coverage of the grid, it will be subject to all space electromagnetic interference and induced voltage and circuit on the line. In particular, the changes in the power grid, the incoming switch operation surge, the start and stop of large power equipment, the harmonics caused by AC and DC transmission devices, the short-circuit transient impact of the power grid, etc., are transmitted to the original side of the power supply through the transmission line. PLC power supply usually uses isolated power supply, but its mechanism and manufacturing process factors make its isolation is not ideal. In practice, isolation is impossible due to the presence of distributed parameters, especially distributed capacitors.
