• Function Description

• The 3500/40M is a proximity monitor designed and developed by Bently Nevada. The 3500/40M Proximity Monitor is a four channel monitor that can accept input from Bentley Nevada eddy current sensors, modulate signals to provide various vibration and position measurements, and compare the conditioned signals with user programmable alarms. Using the 3500 rack configuration software, users can program each channel of the 3500/40M to perform any of the following functions:

• The main function of a Proximitor monitor is to drive alarms by continuously comparing monitoring parameters with configured alarm setpoints, thereby providing mechanical protection.

• The important machine data for operation and maintenance personnel is configured, and each channel typically adjusts its input signal to generate various parameters called static values. You can set alarm and danger settings for each activity's static value, or set alarm and danger settings for any two activity's static values.

• Paired programming of monitoring channels. The monitoring channel can perform up to two functions simultaneously. Channels 1 and 2 can do one thing, while channels 3 and 4 can do other things.
