Bently Bentley 135613 High temperature casing expansion sensor is applied to the thermal expansion measurement of large turbine casing. Thermal expansion of casing is an important displacement measurement parameter of turbine monitoring instrument (TSI). Housing expansion (sometimes called housing thermal expansion) refers to the thermal expansion of the housing during machine start-up or during operation. The housing expansion sensor system is usually installed on the basis of the fixed end of the turbine housing and provides information about the housing expansion with respect to the foundation.

The high temperature casing expansion sensor is a kind of contact temperature measurement sensor, which is suitable for high precision temperature measurement and temperature measurement in high and low temperature environment, and is often used in petrochemical, electric power, aerospace and other fields.

The measurement principle of the high temperature housing expansion sensor is to measure the temperature by using the characteristics of material expansion under heat. When the sensor is placed in a measuring environment, its sensor rod composed of thermal elements and copper strips will expand or contract as the ambient temperature changes. The expansion or contraction of the copper strip is proportional to the ambient temperature, and the change in ambient temperature can be determined by measuring the change in the length of the copper strip.
