The 125768-01 is a RIM I/O module developed by Bently Nevada with an RS232/RS422 interface. It is part of the Bentley Nevada 3500 series. The rack interface module is used as the primary interface for the 3500 rack (RIM). It supports proprietary protocols for setting up racks and getting machine data.

Bentley Bently Nevada 125768-01 Function Description:

The first rack slot must contain the RIM(next to the power supply). RIM is compatible with TDXnet, TDIX, and DDIX Bently Nevada external communications processors.

Although RIM performs some tasks shared by the entire rack, it is not an important part of the monitoring system and has little impact on the overall system's normal operation. One RIM is required per rack. For applications that use Triple Modular redundancy (TMR), the 3500 system requires RIM's version of TMR.

In addition to performing all other normal RIM operations, TMR RIM also performs a "Monitor channel comparison."

Used to switch 3500 racks between RUN and PROGRAM modes. The RUN mode prevents configuration changes while allowing the rack to run properly. PROGRAM mode supports local and remote rack configurations as well as standard rack operations.

The switch can be left in the RUN or PROGRAM position by unplugging the key from the rack at either location. To prevent unauthorized rack reconfiguration, lock the switch in the RUN position. By locking the switch in the PROGRAM position, the rack can be configured remotely at any time.
