The Transient Data Interface (TDI) is a 3500/22 m interface
Compatible software with 3500 monitoring system (System 1) condition monitoring and diagnosis software and 3500 system configuration software). TDI's 3500/20 rack Interface Module capability (RIM) A communication mode processor with data acquisition capabilities, such as TDXnet.
TDI is located in slot 3500 next to the a power supply. It continuously captures steady-state and transient dynamic (waveform) data with M series monitors (3500/40M, 3500/42M, etc.) and passes this data to the host software via Ethernet link. Static data capture is standard in TDI. However, enabling the disk with an optional channel will allow TDI to capture dynamic and high-resolution transients as well as data. The TDI integrates processor functions within the communication 3500 rack. Although TDI provides some common features throughout the rack, it is not part of the critical monitoring path whether or not it has an impact on the normal, normal overall operation of the automatic mechanical protection monitoring system. Each 3500 rack requires a TDI or RIM, always occupying slot 1 (next to the power supply)
