Valve positioner with line fault detection function

The tlx549 accepts a 4/20ma floating signal from the safe zone controller to drive 2 current/pressure converters (or any other load up to 800Q2) in the danger zone. For HART valve positioners, the module also allows two-way transmission of digital communication signals. A process controller with a read-back function can detect an open or short circuit in the field wiring: if this happens, the current entering the terminal drops to a preset level. The MTL4549C and MTLx549Y are very similar to the MTLx549, except that they only provide open circuit detection (i.e. No short circuit detection).
