The VMIC family of devices is a series of boards designed with a variety of different functions: for example, analog-to-digital (and vice versa) converters, central processing modules, and analog and digital input and output modules. The devices were all developed, designed and manufactured by GE's Industrial automation production division. VMIC boards are available from AX Control as used refurbished materials. Each of these units is included in our comprehensive protective warranty agreement.
The VMIVME-3113A module is an analog-to-digital converter designed to support up to 64 differential and/or single-ended wide-range analog input channels (plus or minus 10 mV to plus or minus 10 V).
The VMIVME-3113A module integrates a 64-word dual port capable of providing storage for all channels of continuous scanning devices. Different scanning modes are automatically enabled when powered on, system reset, or manually entered under program control. The dual-port register allows the operator to access the VMEbus at any time to read the latest stored data. The unit's jumper optional programmable gain amplifier is capable of supporting gain ranges of 1, 10.100, 200 and up to 5OO. The analog-to-digital conversion time of the VMIVME-3113A is 15 uS.
