System communication Communication between the operator level and the process control level uses the TCP/IP protocol system bus (Ethernet-based) and you can choose different transmission media such as AUI, twisted pair, optical fiber or coaxial cable. The Freelance OPC server is used to connect to a higher level operator station (800xA) or other OPC clients. Real-time process values and alarms in the Freelance control system can be accessed via OPC. We also provide a C programming interface embedded in external Windows-based applications, suitable for enabling users to communicate with non-standard OPC, i.e. DMS-API package.

The AC800F controller is a modular structure. The CPU is integrated on the baseboard of the controller, and different modules such as power modules, Ethernet modules and fieldbus modules for various applications can be inserted into the controller. Fieldbus modules support PROFIBUS-DPV1, FOUNDATION Fieldbus HSE, MODBUS (master/slave, RTU or ASCII), IEC60870-5-101, and CAN buses for rack-mounted I/O. The fieldbus and connected PROFIBUS slave stations are configured and parameterized entirely by the Control Builder F engineering tool. No more external tools are needed in the programming configuration.
