The NE802 is an unmanaged 5-terminal replacement with one SFP fiber port and four copper ports, all supporting 10/100Mbit/s or Gbit Ethernet. The ABB series of Small pluggable (SFP) transceivers are available with multi-mode, single-mode or Bi-Di transceivers at distances up to 120 km.

The unit is designed for industrial applications with dual 10 to 57 VDC power inputs. The unique "three-current" isolation provides isolation between all ports, power supplies, and each case screen to avoid ground loop current. The IP21 protection rating ensures that the unit can be installed where condensation may occur.
