The 842E-CM is an ultra-high resolution encoder with an EtherNet/IP interface that uses time synchronization for motion control. These encoders offer 18-bit single-turn resolution as well as 30-bit multi-turn resolution. EtherNet/IP encoders are designed to achieve high performance and reliability in harsh industrial environments. The encoder has an embedded EtherNet/IP switch, can attach E/IP functional products in series, and supports the device level ring network (DLR), which can achieve Ethernet media redundancy.
