The 1770-FF controller compatibility module is a MicroLogix 1500 and 1769 CompactLogix controller compatibility module. The electronic module is a sixteen (16) channel 24VDC discrete output module. The module has a set of outputs that are typically used to power electrical loads operating at 24VDC voltage.

The module can also be used to power AC loads through the insertion function. It has a pluggable function and uses a relay in which the output module energizes the relay coil. The AC voltage (e.g. 120/240VAC) is terminated at the contact of the relay to allow the AC voltage to pass through the connected electrical load.

The module is a single slot module that can be installed directly into the 1769 CompactLogix component or the MicroLogix 1500 controller. If installed on a CompactLogix controller, the power distance rating of 8 modules must be complied with. This means that any installation of this module cannot be more than 8 modules away from the power supply. If installed with the MicroLogix 1500 controller, the module will be installed next to the MocroLogix base module and connected to the backplane via a supplied ribbon cable.

The module is compatible with any 1769 CompactLogix controller and 1769 CompactLogix power supply such as 1769-PA2, 1769-PB2, 1769-PA4, 1769-PB4. The module uses terminals with part number 1769-RTBN18. This terminal is delivered with the module. When wiring modules, use the recommended wire sizes of 22-14 AWG solid wire and 22-16 AWG stranded wire.
