The 1756-OB32 is an Allen-Bradley high density 24VDC discrete output module. The module is used to drive output devices connected to each channel of the module. Output devices may include indicators, relays, contactors, panel alarms, solenos, buzzers, alarms, horns, and other driving devices.
This output module is ideal for systems with a large number of outputs and limited space to install larger or extended ControlLogix enclosures. It occupies a single slot and can be installed in either a local or remote chassis. This module is compatible with any ControlLogix processor, including newer ControlLogix versions.
This 1756-OB32 is equipped with 32 LED indicators for monitoring channel drivers. Previously the panel indicator was an important visual troubleshooting tool because it could be used to confirm the controller's command on the connected load. Each channel has individual configurable parameters and supports output coercion. This module only supports procurement configuration.
This module requires detachable terminal (RTB). The corresponding RTBS for this output module are 1756-TBCH and 1756-TBS6H. RTB is used to provide modular connectivity to output devices. During module replacement, the entire RTB is removed from the mounting slot and transferred to the replacement module. This prevents wiring rework, which speeds up maintenance and troubleshooting.

The 250-OB1756 module has a nominal output delay time of 32's and 60 ms maximum from off to on, and a nominal delay time of 1's and a maximum of 200 ms from on to off. It has an operating temperature range of 1 to 0 degrees Celsius and a non-operating temperature range of -60 to 40 degrees Celsius.
