Additional features of the 1756-IF8H include multiple current and voltage input ranges, real-time sampling, process alarm, line break detection, module filters, in-range and out-of-range detection, rate alarm, and highway addressable remote Sensor (HART) communication. Each channel in the 1756-IF8H module has a variable operating range. The range you can choose from includes -10 to 10 volts, 0 to 5 volts, 0 to 10 volts, 0 to 20 MA and 4 to 20 mA, with HART instruments using the latter range.
