Allen-Bradley 1756-IR6I is a temperature measurement simulation module. This is an analog module for resistance-temperature detector (RTD) sensors.


The 1756-IR6I module provides two data formats, integer mode and floating-point mode. When the integer mode is selected, the integrated features are multiple input ranges, notch filters, and real-time sampling. The floating mode includes all of these features, plus temperature linearization, process alarm, rate alarm, and digital filtering. It also comes in selectable temperature units, such as degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. The module has four (4) possible input ranges, including 1 to 487 m? , 2 ~ 1000 m? ; 4 ~ 2000 m; 8 ~ 4000 m; These ranges specify the minimum and maximum signals that the module can detect. It has six (6) individually isolated RTD inputs and a 16-bit resolution. Actual resolution includes 7.7 m? The bits are 1-487 ohms; 15 meters? Small bias errors in the 10 ohm copper RTD can be compensated by the 10 ohm bias characteristics of the module. You can also configure sensor types for each channel in the module. This linearizes the analog signal to a temperature value.
